Job Purpose

Provide specialist engineering expertise for static and packaged equipment on an ADNOC offshore oil and gas project.

Cover equipment design, specification, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation, commissioning, HSE, quality, and schedule objectives.

Engineering and Design

  • Lead and review static equipment design for pressure vessels, columns, towers, heat exchangers, tanks, pig launchers and receivers, filters, separators, flare knockout drums, scrubbers, and reactors.
  • Review package equipment engineering for chemical injection, produced water treatment, fuel gas conditioning, air compressor, nitrogen generation, desalination, utility skid, and metering packages.
  • Prepare and review equipment datasheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, technical queries, and vendor documents.
  • Ensure designs comply with ADNOC Offshore standards, ASME Section VIII, API, TEMA, NACE, ISO, and project specifications.

Procurement, Fabrication, and Inspection

  • Participate in vendor clarification meetings, evaluate proposals, review vendor drawings and manufacturing documentation, and support bid evaluations and purchase order placement.
  • Coordinate with fabrication yards and vendors, review inspection and test plans, witness critical factory acceptance tests, and attend shop inspections when required.

Interfaces and Commissioning

  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, structural, instrumentation and control, electrical, HSE, and operations teams to resolve design interfaces.
  • Provide support during construction, offshore installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
  • Review site technical queries and deviation requests and support mechanical completion walkdowns and punch list closure.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 15 years of oil and gas project experience and at least 5 years in a Specialist or Lead Engineer role.
  • Strong ADNOC Offshore, major offshore brownfield or greenfield, PMC, and EPC execution experience.
  • Master's degree is advantageous.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Divisions 1 and 2, API 510, API 650, API 620, API 660, API 661, TEMA, and NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156.
  • Knowledge of pressure vessel design, package equipment engineering, offshore facilities design, materials selection, and corrosion engineering concepts.
  • Software includes PV Elite, Aspen EDR, AutoCAD, SmartPlant or Aveva Engineering Systems, and Microsoft Office; Compress is desirable.

HSE and Quality

  • Ensure engineering activities adhere to ADNOC HSE requirements and project quality standards.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, design, and constructability reviews.
  • Promote safety in design and asset integrity principles throughout project execution.
