Job Title: Lead Process Engineer – Offshore Project

Role Overview

Process Engineering and Design

• Lead process engineering activities for offshore water injection systems and associated facilities.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, process design bases, and engineering calculations.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, process simulations, and system performance evaluations.
• Optimize water injection systems and support process optimization and debottlenecking studies.

Safety and Risk Management

• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and other process safety studies.
• Ensure compliance with process safety management requirements.
• Conduct process risk assessments and provide mitigation measures.
• Support Management of Change activities for brownfield modifications.

Engineering Coordination

• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, and operations teams.
• Provide technical support during detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Review vendor documents and technical proposals and resolve process engineering issues.

Brownfield and Offshore Support

• Perform feasibility studies and brownfield engineering assessments.
• Support tie-in engineering and shutdown planning activities.
• Evaluate existing offshore facilities for integration of new water injection systems.
• Conduct offshore site surveys and technical reviews when required.

Commissioning and Operations

• Develop process commissioning procedures and support pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot process upsets and operational challenges.
• Assist operations teams in achieving production and injection targets.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
• Have 20 or more years of process engineering experience in oil and gas projects.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in offshore brownfield projects.
• Have proven involvement in FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Preferred Qualifications

• A master's degree is an added advantage.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration is preferred.
• ADNOC Offshore or Middle East project experience is highly preferred.

Technical Competencies and Software

• Technical competencies include produced water treatment, process simulation, hydraulic analysis, relief and flare system design, process safety management, brownfield engineering, and offshore facility modifications.
• Software listed includes Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PipeSim, Flarenet, HTRI, PipeFlow, and MS Office Suite.
