Compensation
- Competitive salary is offered based on experience, qualifications, and location.
- The indicative compensation range is $95,000–$160,000 USD equivalent, plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services in Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Build RESTful APIs that integrate with internal and external systems.
- Optimise performance and ensure service scalability.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Partner with QA, DevOps, and product teams on delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Have at least 3 years of experience building production Java applications.
- Have strong knowledge of Spring Boot and the broader Spring ecosystem.
- Have experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
- Be comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and with containerisation.
- Understand object-oriented programming, design patterns, and system design.
