Responsibilities:
- Primary Janitorial Duties
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, including buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpet, furniture, and related areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop flooring and stairs.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
- Clean sinks, countertops, microwaves, and refrigerators in break rooms.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash cans, replace liners, and clean receptacles as necessary.
- Dust and clean office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
- Clean windows and windowsills.
- Maintain janitor closets and janitorial equipment in a clean, organized, safe, and operable condition.
- Properly use all chemicals and always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Safety, Equipment, and Facility Support
- Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or equipment problems to the janitorial Supervisor.
- Maintain facility cleanliness standards across office and manufacturing spaces.
- Complete assigned work order tickets and cleaning tasks in a timely manner.
- Operate cardboard and garbage compactor.
- Basic Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an office or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete assigned tasks accurately, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English to effectively follow work instructions and provide status updates.
- Demonstrates a positive, professional, and customer-service-oriented attitude when interacting with employees, visitors, and team members.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality, and workplace safety.
- Ability to follow established company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently within established timeframes.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and meeting performance expectations under pressure.
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical activities throughout the shift.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as required to perform cleaning duties.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work extended hours, overtime, or alternative shifts when business needs require.
- Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of previous janitorial or custodial experience in an office or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent education
