Education and Experience

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Employee must have sufficient education to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records.
• Bachelor of Science in computer science preferred.
• Preferred certifications to include Comp TIA Net+, MCSA, and MCSE.
• Two years’ hands-on experience in technical support for hardware and software preferred.
• Proficient with Windows desktop and server operating system software.
• Familiarity with common desktop software applications with emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient with VMware ESXi.
• Must be dedicated to customer service.
• High work load; must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to prioritize priority incidents with day to day tasks.
• Familiarity with wiring, cabling, diagrams, connections, communications outlet terminations, and other connect ability hardware.
• Must be able to follow all department SOPs.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
• Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.
• Must be available for shift work, overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Progression through wage scale is contingent upon satisfactory completion of checklists.
