The role is an IT Support & Systems Administrator in the Technology / Operations department.
The role reports initially to the COO, with functional direction from the CTO and CISO once appointed.
The position is full-time and primarily office-based in Doha, Qatar.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up a helpdesk, support process, and escalation route.
- Support laptops, email, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Notion, Wi-Fi, printers, and meeting-room technology.
- Manage onboarding, offboarding, accounts, MFA, and role-based access.
- Maintain inventories for devices, software, licenses, systems, and vendors.
- Standardize laptop security, encryption, endpoint protection, patching, and approved software.
- Coordinate support for Azure Qatar Central and external technology providers.
- Record and escalate phishing, malware, lost devices, account compromise, and other IT incidents.
- Support backups, recovery tests, business continuity, office access technology, and cybersecurity awareness.
- Maintain procedures and audit-ready evidence for access, devices, incidents, backups, and vendors.
- Recommend cost-efficient tools appropriate for the organization’s size and growth stage.
First 90 Days
- During the first 30 days, assess the environment, inventory users and systems, confirm MFA for critical systems, and launch a support log.
- During the first 60 days, standardize device setup, implement onboarding and access procedures, and establish license, vendor, and backup tracking.
- During the first 90 days, complete an access review and recovery test and publish procedures, a risk list, and a six-month improvement roadmap.
Requirements
- Three to five years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, SharePoint, Windows devices, and common office technology.
- Working knowledge of MFA, access control, endpoint security, patching, backups, and basic networking.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and vendor coordination skills.
- Comfort building processes in a startup with limited existing systems.
- Fintech, financial-services, or regulated-industry experience is preferred.
- Microsoft, CompTIA, or ITIL certification is an advantage.
Work Location
- Work is performed in person in Doha, Qatar.
Pay
- Pay is from QAR 1.00 per month.
