Job Summary

  • Seeking an experienced Pre Sales Engineer to support the sales team in designing, presenting, and proposing technical solutions across Networking, Security Systems, and CCTV/Surveillance.
  • The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between client requirements and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand client requirements (RFP/RFQ/tender documents) and translate them into technical solutions for networking, security, and CCTV systems.
  • Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical compliance sheets, and system architecture/design drawings.
  • Select appropriate products and vendors (e.g., structured cabling, switches, firewalls, access control, IP CCTV, VMS) based on project scope and budget.
  • Conduct site surveys to assess technical feasibility and gather requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs) to clients and consultants.
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Hikvision, Axis, Milestone, Genetec, HID) to obtain quotations, certifications, and technical support.
  • Respond to technical queries during tender clarification stages.
  • Support the sales team in preparing commercial and technical proposals within deadlines.
  • Ensure proposed solutions comply with project specifications, local regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NFPA, SIRA, TDRA, or relevant local authority requirements).
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and CCTV/surveillance technologies and trends.
  • Handoff technical documentation to the project/implementation team upon order confirmation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer/IT Engineering or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in pre sales, system integration, or technical sales within the ELV, IT, or Security industry.
  • Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, switching, routing, structured cabling) and network security (firewalls, VPN, NAC).
  • Hands on experience or strong technical knowledge of CCTV/IP surveillance systems, VMS platforms, and access control systems.
  • Familiarity with relevant certifications is a plus: CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Hikvision/Axis/Milestone certifications, PSP/CPP.
  • Strong skills in BOQ preparation, technical proposal writing, and reading electrical/ELV drawings (AutoCAD is a plus).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with consultants, contractors, and government/private sector clients preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of design tools (Visio, AutoCAD) is an advantage.
  • Valid driving license (if site visits are required).
