IT Operations Specialist, Lvl 1

A college diploma or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2+ years of hands-on experience working within an IT environment.

Practical experience troubleshooting technical issues and applying structured problem-solving and incident-resolution practices.

Experience creating, maintaining, and interpreting technical documentation, procedures, and end-user instructions.

Knowledge of IT operations, infrastructure, systems monitoring, and service management practices.

Familiarity with tools and technologies such as Control-M, Nagios, VMware, Dell OpenManage, Intermapper, LDAP, Active Directory, Windows, UNIX, Cisco, ServiceNow, PowerShell, and ITIL practices.

Microsoft certifications such as Azure, Microsoft 365, MCSA, MCSE, or similar technical certifications are considered an asset.

Analytical and solutions-focused, with the ability to troubleshoot issues logically and efficiently.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment where priorities can change quickly.

Able to learn new systems, technologies, and processes with minimal direction.

Calm and dependable when responding to incidents, system issues, and time-sensitive requests.

Able to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

An effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
