About the Role
IHG Hotels & Resorts is looking for an IT Manager to oversee information technology systems, hardware, and software at voco Doha West Bay Suites. The role includes managing disaster recovery, risk management, system security, vendor relationships, and IT policies.

- Manage information technology systems, hardware and software applications to hotel IT standards
- Oversee development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan
- Undertake routine risk management and audit processes to ensure compliance
- Develop a troubleshooting guide and train key staff in IT systems and application use
- Ensure all operating systems, licences and service agreements are kept up to date
- Monitor file server performance, back ups and system performance
- Manage system and firewall security and implement updates as required
- Update IT policies and procedures in accordance with hotel standards
- Maintain user database and ensure user profiles are updated
- Manage users and accounts in accordance with hotel IT standards
Requirements
- Formal qualifications in Information Technology (Bachelor of Science majoring in IT or equivalent)
- Well developed computerized hotel systems skills including hardware and software applications
- Previous experience within a hotel operations environment
- High degree of competency in hotel PMS application
- Competent Oral and Written English Communication Skills
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments and project management

Your day to day
- Manage information technology systems, hardware and software applications to voco Doha West Bay Suites IT standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan that ensures business continuity.
- Undertake routine risk management and audit processes to ensure compliance by system users.
- Develop a troubleshooting guide and train key staff in IT systems and application use.
- Ensure all operating systems, licences and service agreements are kept up to date.
- Monitor file server performance, back ups and system performance in line with agreed standards.
- Manage system and firewall security and implement updates as required.
- Update IT policies and procedures in accordance with voco Doha West Bay Suites IT standards.
- Maintain user database and ensure user profiles are updated in accordance with personnel changes.
- Manage users and accounts in accordance with voco Doha West Bay Suites IT standards.
- Develop and manage IT business process strategy to ensure future state requirements are planned for.
- Attend to system maintenance and breakdown requirements in a timely manner.

- Be able to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Attend meetings, training sessions and any other required meeting or training session.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
- Education: Formal qualifications in Information Technology i.e. Bachelor of Science majoring in Information Technology (or equivalent).
- Experience: Well developed computerized hotel systems skills including hardware and software applications.
- Experience: Previous experience within a hotel operations environment.
