Job Summary
An iPhone Glass Polishing Technician is responsible for restoring scratched, damaged, or worn smartphone glass surfaces using specialized polishing machines, tools, and compounds.
The technician inspects devices, performs precision polishing, ensures quality standards, and maintains safe handling procedures for mobile devices, especially Apple iPhones.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect iPhones and identify scratches, scuffs, and surface defects.
- Operate glass polishing machines and laser polishing equipment.
- Remove minor scratches and restore screen clarity without damaging the display.
- Clean and prepare devices before and after polishing.
- Replace protective coatings when required.
- Conduct quality control checks after polishing.
- Handle customer devices carefully and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain tools, polishing pads, and workstations.
- Follow safety procedures for chemicals and polishing compounds.
- Record completed jobs and repair details.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of smartphone repair and refurbishment.
- Experience using polishing machines and precision tools.
- Attention to detail and steady hand coordination.
- Ability to work with delicate electronic components.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of screen materials such as Gorilla Glass and OLED displays.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in mobile phone repair or refurbishment preferred.
- Training in glass polishing or electronics repair is an advantage.
Preferred Experience
- Previous work in mobile repair shops or refurbishment centers.
- Familiarity with Apple device handling standards.
- Experience with laser glass polishing equipment.
- Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
