Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Mandarin-English interpretation through phone, video, and online communication platforms.
• Preserve meaning, tone, context, accuracy, neutrality, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity during interpretation.
• Support clients, customers, employees, and teams across business, customer service, administrative, technical, and general scenarios.
• Support remote meetings, interviews, consultations, training sessions, conferences, and customer interactions.
• Maintain records, follow procedures and quality standards, manage multiple sessions, and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors and participate in quality reviews, coaching, and interpreter training.

Requirements

• Fluent or near-native Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency with strong pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.
• Proven real-time Mandarin-English interpretation ability, strong listening and comprehension, and attention to detail.
• Understanding of Mandarin-speaking and English-speaking cultural contexts and ability to remain neutral and professional.
• Ability to work independently, follow scheduled shifts, handle complex terminology, and maintain concentration for extended periods.
• Comfort using Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, or similar communication platforms.
• Confidentiality, data-protection compliance, reliable internet, and a suitable private workspace are required.
• Experience in interpretation, translation, customer service, bilingual support, or a related role is preferred.
• Relevant interpreter certification or a language qualification is advantageous.
• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in languages, linguistics, translation, interpretation, communications, or a related field is preferred.
