Role Summary
APCO Worldwide is seeking an AI Intern to support AI-enabled tools across communications, research, and digital transformation work.
The internship focuses on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, data analysis, research, and experimentation in an advisory environment.
The intern will work with the AI and Digital Transformation team and join APCO’s Dubai office.
Responsibilities
- Support development, testing, and refinement of AI and natural language processing tools for research, analysis, and communications use cases.
- Collect, clean, organize, and analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Identify patterns, insights, and opportunities supporting client work and internal innovation.
- Research emerging AI tools, digital transformation trends, and applications across communications, public affairs, and advisory work.
- Prepare presentations, summaries, reports, and visual outputs that communicate technical insights clearly.
- Test AI models, evaluate outputs, and document findings, recommendations, and potential improvements.
- Track new technologies, tools, and use cases relevant to APCO’s work for internal knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a relevant degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, and digital transformation.
- Working knowledge of Python and familiarity with common data analysis or machine learning libraries is preferred.
- Ability to work with data, conduct research, and communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curious, proactive, detail-oriented, comfortable experimenting, and willing to learn collaboratively.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic is a plus.
- Available to join as an intern in APCO’s Dubai office.
