The role focuses on electrical engineering for high-performance buildings and site distribution.
Your role
- Deliver electrical system designs and calculations from preliminary design through the project lifecycle.
- Prepare schematic designs, design development documents, construction drawings, and specifications.
- Cover distribution, lighting, power, grounding, fire alarm, communications, security, and control or signal systems.
- Review client requirements and provide design options and recommendations.
- Assist with schedule, financial, quality assurance, and quality control deliverables.
- Coordinate incoming services with utilities and municipalities.
- Review shop drawings and resolve onsite contractor issues.
- Provide technical direction to junior designers and CAD operators.
About you
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
- Have four to six years of electrical engineering consulting experience.
- Have electrical design experience in light industrial, heavy industrial, or commercial projects.
- Know and apply the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Have experience with AutoCAD.
- PLC programming experience is an asset.
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
