Interior Designer

Role Overview

Design Responsibilities

• Assist with concepts, space plans, furniture layouts, mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
• Develop 3D models, interior visualizations, and renderings based on approved design direction.
• Select materials, finishes, flooring, lighting, sanitaryware, joinery, kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, fabrics, and accessories.
• Research new materials, furniture, products, finishes, trends, and innovative interior solutions.
• Record design comments and implement client-approved revisions.

Coordination and Execution

• Coordinate design information with technical designers, quantity surveyors, procurement, project managers, site teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Review technical drawings, shop drawings, samples, and material submissions for alignment with the approved design concept.
• Participate in site visits and help identify and resolve design-related execution issues.
• Support furniture installation, placement, styling, accessories, and final project preparation.
• Maintain organized design files, specifications, material references, presentations, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Three to five years of interior design experience, preferably in luxury residential or high-end projects.
• Strong portfolio showing interior design, space planning, and 3D visualization skills.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, lighting, joinery, furniture, fabrics, and FF&E.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D software such as 3ds Max and/or SketchUp.
• Strong experience with V-Ray, Enscape, Corona, or similar rendering software.
• Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, coordination, and deadline-management skills.
• Experience under a senior design leader and GCC or Qatar experience are preferred.

Design Knowledge

• Stay current with interior design, furniture, materials, luxury residential, and interior technology trends.
• Ability to develop designs from an established creative direction and design concept.
• Ability to accept feedback and efficiently refine designs.
