About the Role
KPMG Canada is hiring an Intelligent Automation Business Analyst to join the RPA team, collaborating with internal business teams to assess automation opportunities and document process designs.

Responsibilities
- Mentor team members and review the quality of team documents, providing guidance and feedback
- Monitor deliverable dates and escalate issues causing delays
- Collaborate with RPA managers and leaders on improvements to methodology, templates, etc.
- Participate in special projects, e.g., building or implementing new tools, dashboards
- Assess potential process automation candidates with stakeholders and provide summary documentation
- Organize task mining initiatives and/or process walkthrough sessions to capture current process flows
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on automation capabilities, including RPA, AI/agentic workflows, and decision automation across platforms such as UiPath and Blue Prism
- Document future state process flows, including alternate flows and exceptions
- Create and evolve process and solution design artifacts (PDDs, solution workflows, agent interaction flows), including both deterministic and AI driven decision points
- Organize and lead PDD review sessions with stakeholders, ensuring all process details are accurately captured and approved
- Provide support for automation developers, including clarifying requirements and facilitating environment configurations
- Support QA in testing larger automation initiatives, including review of test plans and facilitation of test data collection
Requirements
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst, preferably in an automation environment
- Practical understanding of AI enabled automation, including agentic workflows, decision automation, and handling of unstructured data
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional documentation skills, including concise requirements and easy to follow process flow diagrams
- Ability to forge consensus within a group of stakeholders
- Knowledge of agile methodology and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working in a business automation environment
- Familiarity with AI/Agent Lifecycle and Risks associated with AI use cases
- Strong experience and knowledge of automation tools, including UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Abbyy and other OCR solutions, chatbots, Python, etc.
- Experience with QA testing, including ability to create test plans, test cases, execute test cycles
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Teams
- Exposure to AI enabled automation tools and concepts, including UiPath Autopilot/AI Center, Copilot Studio, prompt based workflows, and foundational understanding of APIs and data integration

- As part of the KPMG Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team, the Intelligent Automation Business Analyst collaborates with internal business teams to assess RPA opportunities and to document process designs for business automation projects.
What You Will Do
- Mentor team members and review the quality of team documents, providing guidance and feedback as needed

- Support QA in testing larger automation initiatives, including review of test plans and facilitation of test data collection and validation; work with developers to lead the QA process for simple automation initiatives.
What You Bring To The Role
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst, preferably in an automation environment
- Practical understanding of AI enabled automation, including agentic workflows, decision automation, and handling of unstructured data
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Exceptional documentation skills, including concise requirements and easy to follow process flow diagrams

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
- The expected base salary range for this position is CAD 74,000 to CAD 111,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
- The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
