Role overview
Support operations and maintenance through centralized engineering services for global upstream and downstream business units and manufacturing facilities.
Provide technical expertise for instrumentation and controls design while ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and company standards.
The role is part of ExxonMobil Services and Technology Private Limited in Whitefield, Bengaluru, India.
Key responsibilities
- Improve instrumentation-system troubleshooting, reliability, safety, availability, and cost performance.
- Develop surveillance programs and analyze maintenance data, failure modes, reliability, availability, and program effectiveness.
- Coordinate and review EPC contractor design and engineering work for compliance with project requirements.
- Guide less experienced engineers and contribute to global procedures, software, and standards.
- Participate in FATs, HAZOP, SIL, classification studies, construction, commissioning, and turnaround support.
- Develop maintenance strategies and plans considering SIL assessments, industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain P&IDs, cause-and-effect diagrams, control narratives, and other I&C technical documentation.
- Manage SIS and PLC lifecycle activities, including inventories, obsolescence, spare parts, upgrades, testing, and shutdown coordination.
