About the Role
Mekdam Holding Group seeks an Instrument Technician for Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry in Doha. You will perform troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of various instruments.

Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of instruments including transmitters, switches, analyzers, vibration instrumentation, valves, and valve accessories
- Use hand tools and test instruments for calibration, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing
- Remove, install, and adjust vibration probes as per machine requirement
- Maintain housekeeping and ensure workplace is clean, tidy, and safe
- Record keeping in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Read, understand, and support execute jobs as per standard operating procedure/work instruction
Requirements
- Engineering Diploma in respective discipline (12+3 years)
- 6 years relevant and hands on experience in respective discipline, in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of instruments
- Hands on experience in usage of Hand tools and Test Instruments
- Hands on experience in removal, installation, and adjustment of vibration probes
- Basic report writing skills
- Awareness about safety requirements of working in a Fertilizer Plant
- Well versed with work permit system in large scale process industries
- Good HSEQ record

Qualifications, Experience and Competency
- Engineering Diploma in respective discipline (12+3 years).
- 6 years relevant and hands on experience in respective discipline, in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry.
- Hands on experience of the Work order part of EAM module of SAP would be preferable.
Instrument Technician Requirements
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting, inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of transmitters (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature).
- Hands on experience with switches (Pressure, Level, Flow, Temperature).
- Hands on experience with analyzers (pH and Conductivity).
- Hands on experience with vibration instrumentation (Accelerometers, Velometers, Proximity Probes, Speed Probes, Proximitors).
- Hands on experience with valves (Control Valves, On Off Valves, Solenoid Valves).
- Hands on experience with valve accessories (Solenoid Valves, Valve Pneumatic and Electropneumatic Positioners, Pneumatic Relays, Air Regulators and Filters, Lubricators).
- Hands on experience in usage of Hand tools.
- Hands on experience in usage of Test Instruments in calibration, troubleshooting, configuration, and testing of instruments.
- Hands on experience in removal, installation, and adjustment of vibration probes as per machine requirement.
- Basic report writing skills.
- Able to communicate well in written & spoken English.
- Awareness about safety requirements of working in a Fertilizer Plant.
Safety Requirements
- Shall be well familiar with hazardous chemicals/materials used in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/Fertilizer industry.
- Shall always adhere to Company Safety requirements.
- Shall have knowledge about PTW system in large scale industries.
- Shall understand and work within the framework of COMPANY's Maintenance, HSEQ Policy, procedures and regulations.
