Job Purpose
Ensure structural construction activities, including fabrication and erection, are performed safely, effectively, and efficiently.
Verify compliance with technical requirements, company policies, procedures, and management-system requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Verify structural material identity and conformance with drawings and specifications.
- Verify fit-up and welding inspection completion and joint release.
- Check dimensions and alignment tolerances using EDM, theodolites, dumpy levels, and other equipment.
- Conduct surveillance of specifications, WPS, consumables, qualified welders, welding processes, and performance.
- Coordinate structural consumable needs and stock management with the PSCM team.
- Perform walkdowns, prepare punch lists, and verify completion of punch-list items.
- Witness final acceptance and applicable final tests.
- Complete and endorse records from initial inspection through final acceptance.
- Maintain client interfaces for contractual and code compliance.
- Develop inspection procedures, method statements, risk assessments, JSEA documents, ITPs, and checklists.
- Oversee testing methods and maintain process quality.
- Ensure compliance with information-security policies and procedures.
