Role Overview
Mid-level Infrastructure Consultant role focused on enterprise infrastructure and cloud operations.
Design, implement, support, and optimize servers, virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, security, and disaster recovery solutions.
Reports to the Infrastructure Manager or Architect.
Location and Work Arrangement
- Location is Qatar or the GCC as applicable.
- Doha is listed as a required work location.
- Work location is in person.
Infrastructure Management
- Administer Windows and Linux server environments.
- Manage VMware, Hyper-V, or Oracle VM virtualization platforms.
- Monitor infrastructure health, capacity, availability, and performance.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and planned maintenance.
Cloud, Network, and Security
- Support OCI, Microsoft Azure, or AWS cloud platforms.
- Configure cloud networking, compute, and storage resources.
- Implement infrastructure hardening, access controls, and security best practices.
- Support firewall, VPN, load balancer, DNS, and related connectivity configurations.
Recovery and Implementation
- Manage backup and recovery solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
- Design and deploy enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
Support and Stakeholders
- Provide L2/L3 support for infrastructure incidents and perform root cause analysis.
- Support production, test, and disaster recovery environments.
- Work with business users, application teams, vendors, and project managers.
- Provide technical consultancy and conduct knowledge-transfer or training sessions when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, implementation, or consulting.
- Hands-on Windows Server and Linux administration knowledge.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
- Understanding of storage, backup, Active Directory, Group Policy, networking, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Experience with OCI, Microsoft Azure, or AWS.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and alerting tools.
- PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting skills.
- Preferred certifications include Azure Administrator Associate, OCI Associate or Professional, VMware VCP, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, ITIL Foundation, or CCNA/CCNP.
Compensation
- Pay is QAR 3,000 to QAR 5,000 per month.
