Role Description
The Resident IT Engineer role is full-time according to the role description and is performed onsite in Doha, Qatar.
The role provides day-to-day IT infrastructure and end-user support to maintain the stability, security, and availability of the IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Manage Windows Servers, user accounts, access permissions, and related infrastructure services.
- Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues and support virtualization platforms.
- Maintain backup and security systems and monitor IT infrastructure.
- Handle incidents and service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate vendor escalations.
- Maintain technical documentation and support IT policies and service levels.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Administration, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Intune device management.
- Hands-on Windows Server administration, user management, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file server support experience.
- Solid networking knowledge, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and troubleshooting.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management, communication, customer-service, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and Hyper-V is preferred.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, endpoint security, and infrastructure monitoring tools is highly desirable.
- Enterprise support and third-party vendor coordination experience is preferred.
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure Administrator, VMware, CCNA, ITIL, or equivalent certifications are advantageous.
Experience
- The stated experience requirement is 5 to 6 years.
Contract and Work Mode
- The contract duration is 2 to 3 months and may be extended.
- The work mode is onsite.
