Job Summary
This position provides leadership in planning, secure integration, and ongoing evolution of the City’s core network infrastructure. It ensures the efficient use of technology resources and oversees the implementation of corporate networking initiatives, including network security, communication networks, and wireless infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plans, analyses, and recommends strategies for implementing and integrating core network infrastructure components, including network security architectures, communication networks, wireless systems, system support software and hardware components.
- Plans, schedules, assigns, and coordinates the work of staff assigned to digital infrastructure projects.
- Performs the network security administrator role, including the planning, designing and implementation of corporate network security and associated services.
- Monitors and evaluates resource utilization and system performance trends, providing recommendations for future hardware and software needs.
