Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, and start up of industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia (NH₃) refrigerant
- Support commissioning activities for compressors, condensers, evaporators, vessels, pumps, valves, and associated refrigeration equipment
- Perform pressure testing, leak detection, vacuuming, refrigerant charging, and system performance testing
- Monitor and verify operational parameters including pressure, temperature, flow rates, and system efficiency
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control related issues in ammonia refrigeration systems
- Assist in the commissioning of PLC, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, and safety interlock systems
- Review and interpret P&ID drawings, refrigeration schematics, equipment layouts, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, vendors, and project teams during installation and commissioning activities
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures related to ammonia refrigeration systems
- Prepare commissioning reports, inspection records, punch lists, and technical documentation
- Participate in system performance testing and final handover activities
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities when required
Requirements
- Experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and start up of industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia refrigerant
- Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, vessels, pumps, valves, and associated refrigeration equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control related issues in ammonia refrigeration systems
- Experience with PLC, control panels, sensors, instrumentation, and safety interlock systems
- Ability to review and interpret P&ID drawings, refrigeration schematics, equipment layouts, and technical documentation
- Coordination skills with engineers, supervisors, vendors, and project teams
