DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on supervising employees who determine eligibility and authorize a variety of human services benefits while ensuring accuracy and timely service delivery. As an Income Maintenance Casework Supervisor, you will perform the following duties: Staff Supervision: Oversee caseworkers who evaluate and authorize benefits across multiple programs Quality Assurance: Ensure work meets state and federal mandates for accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness Program Compliance: Monitor adherence to DHS regulations and CAO policies during case processing Guidance and Support: Provide direction to staff to promote professional growth and consistent service delivery Case Oversight: Review complex or sensitive cases to support correct decisions and maintain program integrity Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs. Travel and overtime as operationally necessary. Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Altoona, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Work Conditions: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with district offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. FREE parking!
