Job Description

Support preschool classroom instruction, child supervision, routines, inclusion, and individualized assistance under the direction of the lead teacher.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily lesson plans, learning activities, and educational games aligned with the preschool curriculum.
  • Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and outdoor play.
  • Reinforce classroom rules and guide children’s social and emotional development.
  • Prepare classroom materials, resources, and displays for hands-on learning.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom spaces and sanitize toys, surfaces, and equipment.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group support to children who need additional help or emotional support.
  • Observe development and behavior and report concerns or notable progress to the lead teacher.
  • Support arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, rest time, and other daily routines.
  • Model respectful, inclusive, and cooperative behavior.
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff on consistent teaching and childcare practices.

  • Patience and empathy when responding to young children.
  • Strong communication with children, teachers, and parents.
  • Teamwork and willingness to follow guidance.
  • Observation skills for recognizing developmental milestones or concerns.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for play and learning.
  • Organization, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification is required.
  • A TKT Training Course is listed among the qualifications.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting is preferred.
