- Coordinate all aspects of import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with shipping lines and freight forwarders to optimize costs and service levels
- Prepare and review all necessary documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues that may arise during transit, ensuring timely delivery
- Ensure all raw material imports are reaching on time without any disturbance to existing production plan
Requirements
- Experience in coordinating import and export shipments
- Knowledge of local and international regulations for import/export
- Experience negotiating freight rates and contracts with shipping lines and freight forwarders
- Ability to prepare and review shipping documentation
- Experience monitoring shipment progress and resolving transit issues
- Experience ensuring raw material imports arrive on time to support production plans
