About the Role
We are hiring an ICS/OT Cybersecurity Technician for a hands-on, field-intensive role in Qatar's Oil & Gas sector. You will maintain, secure, and support industrial control systems (DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA) and OT assets.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on OT/ICS cybersecurity assets and infrastructure
- Apply security patches, antivirus updates, and software upgrades for DCS, SIS, and ICS systems
- Support backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities for critical OT systems
- Install, replace, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity appliances, field devices, network equipment, and cabling
- Maintain ICS cabinets, workstations, servers, KVM systems, and associated infrastructure
- Perform endpoint hardening, security baseline implementation, and access control validation
- Support vulnerability remediation and routine OT cybersecurity maintenance activities
- Collect, verify, and maintain OT asset inventories, configuration records, and as built documentation
- Monitor system health and identify operational or cybersecurity related issues
- Prepare Permit to Work (PTW) documentation and coordinate maintenance activities with site teams
- Assist in incident investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of OT cybersecurity events
- Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies, operational procedures, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ICS/OT Cybersecurity within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Manufacturing, or similar industrial environments
- Graduate Degree or 3 Year Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or Electronics Engineering
- Hands on experience with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and other industrial control systems
- Experience supporting cybersecurity technologies in OT environments
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols
- Experience working within live production environments and critical infrastructure facilities
- At least one cybersecurity certification (CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+) highly desirable
- Networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work safely within a 24/7 industrial operating environment

Job Overview

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in ICS/OT Cybersecurity in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Manufacturing, or similar.
- Preferred 5+ years relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree or 3 Year Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or Electronics Engineering.
- Hands on experience with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity technologies in OT environments.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Experience in live production environments and critical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards is an advantage.
- Networking certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+ preferred.
- Cybersecurity certifications: CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+; at least one highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong exposure to OT/ICS cybersecurity environments.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical Manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity maintenance, endpoint protection, system hardening.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Experience with asset management and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work safely within a 24/7 industrial operating environment.
