- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on OT/ICS cybersecurity assets and infrastructure.
- Apply security patches, antivirus updates, and software upgrades for DCS, SIS, and ICS systems.
- Support backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities for critical OT systems.
- Install, replace, configure, and troubleshoot cybersecurity appliances, field devices, network equipment, and power/network cabling.
- Maintain ICS cabinets, workstations, servers, KVM systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Perform endpoint hardening, security baseline implementation, and access control validation activities.
- Support vulnerability remediation and routine OT cybersecurity maintenance activities.
- Collect, verify, and maintain OT asset inventories, configuration records, and as built documentation.
- Monitor system health and identify operational or cybersecurity related issues.
- Prepare Permit to Work (PTW) documentation and coordinate maintenance activities with site teams.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ICS/OT Cybersecurity within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar industrial environments
- Graduate Degree or 3 Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Electronics Engineering
- Hands on experience with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and other industrial control systems
- Experience supporting cybersecurity technologies in OT environments
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols
- At least one cybersecurity certification (CEH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+) is highly desirable

Job Overview
- We are currently hiring an ICS / OT Cybersecurity Technician to support operations within a dynamic Oil & Gas / Petrochemical environment in Qatar.
- This is a hands on, field intensive role responsible for maintaining, securing, and supporting Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Operational Technology (OT) assets.
- The role requires close coordination with operations, maintenance, and cybersecurity teams to ensure the availability, integrity, and security of critical industrial systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on OT/ICS cybersecurity assets and infrastructure.
- Apply security patches, antivirus updates, and software upgrades for DCS, SIS, and ICS systems.
- Support backup, restoration, and disaster recovery activities for critical OT systems.

Qualifications & Experience
- Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in ICS/OT Cybersecurity within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
- Preferred Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience supporting industrial control systems and cybersecurity operations.
- Education: Graduate Degree or 3 Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or Electronics Engineering.
- Hands on experience with DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and other industrial control systems.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity technologies in OT environments.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols.
- Experience working within live production environments and critical infrastructure facilities.
- Knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards and best practices is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong exposure to OT/ICS cybersecurity environments.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical Manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
- Understanding of cybersecurity maintenance, endpoint protection, and system hardening.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Experience with asset management and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work safely within a 24/7 industrial operating environment.
