Role Overview
The HVAC/AC Technician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
The role supports facilities operations through preventive and corrective maintenance, breakdown response, inspections, and technical reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of AC units and HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults and complete repairs.
- Service split, package, cassette, ducted, and other air-conditioning systems.
- Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, motors, fans, filters, and control systems.
- Perform refrigerant charging, leak detection, pressure testing, and recovery.
- Clean and replace filters, coils, drain lines, and other AC components.
- Respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failure.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, spare parts, and equipment condition.
- Follow maintenance procedures, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with Facilities and Operations and report major technical issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
- ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant HVAC or AC maintenance experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration principles, AC troubleshooting, and related components is required.
- Ability to read basic electrical and HVAC diagrams is required.
- Ability to work independently, handle emergency breakdowns, and apply problem-solving skills is required.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures is required.
- Qatar experience and a Qatar driving license are preferred or advantageous.
- Candidates must be physically fit and willing to work flexible hours, including emergency call-outs.
- Current availability in Qatar is preferred.
Pay
- Pay is up to QAR 2,600 per month.
Work Location
- The work location is in person.
