Role Overview
A community-based nonprofit organization supporting vulnerable individuals is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Manager.
The Human Resources Manager reports to the Chief Executive Officer and leads all aspects of human resources.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Lead and oversee the strategic HR plan and proactively lead the HR function.
- Support performance management, labour and employee relations, compensation, leadership development, succession planning, and training initiatives.
- Coordinate, manage, and participate in recruitment and selection.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures in an anti-oppressive environment that values equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Develop health and safety plans with operations and the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Manage employee benefits administration.
- Prepare reports, update policies and procedures, ensure legislative compliance, and manage records.
- Support staff engagement, wellness, onboarding, training, employee health and safety, and performance management.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
- CHRP and/or CHRL designation.
- At least five years of progressive, hands-on human resources experience in increasingly senior positions.
