HSE & Fire Safety Officer

Overview

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies and procedures aligned with UAE regulations and food safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments across production lines, warehouse, utilities, and accommodation areas
• Identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practices across all departments
• Ensure strict adherence to hygiene protocols in production zones (GMP standards)
• Oversee chemical handling, MSDS compliance, and safe storage practices
• Manage waste segregation and disposal in line with environmental standards

Fire & Life Safety (Core Requirement)

• Ensure full compliance with Dubai Civil Defense regulations and fire code requirements
• Conduct detailed fire risk assessments across all facility areas
• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems including:
• Fire alarm systems
• Fire extinguishers
• Fire hydrants & hose reels
• Sprinkler systems
• Emergency lighting & exit signage
• Coordinate AMC contractors for fire system maintenance and certification
• Plan and execute regular fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises
• Develop and update emergency response plans and evacuation layouts
• Train fire wardens, emergency response teams, and first aiders
• Ensure clear access to fire exits, firefighting equipment, and assembly points at all times

Incident & Compliance Management

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports
• Implement corrective actions and track closure
• Maintain all HSE and fire safety documentation, logs, and audit records
• Liaise with authorities including:
• Dubai Municipality
• Ministry of Climate Change and Environment

• Dubai Civil Defense

• Support internal and external audits (HACCP, ISO, food safety audits)

Training & Awareness

• Conduct HSE and fire safety training sessions for all employees
• Ensure all first aid kits are stocked and first aiders are certified
• Promote safety culture through toolbox talks and awareness campaigns
• Ensure new joiners receive HSE induction training
• 🔹 Requirements
• 5–6 years of HSE experience in
• food manufacturing / FMCG
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws, GMP, HACCP, and fire safety standards
• Mandatory hands-on experience in
• firefighting systems & Civil Defense compliance
• Certifications preferred:

• First Aid Certification

• Strong documentation, reporting, and coordination skills
• Ability to handle audits, inspections, and emergency situations independently
