Job Description
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional HSE Engineer for site supervision in Riyadh.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a Saudi National to join our organization and take a leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across our operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all HSE activities on-site, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to local and international safety regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and safety risks
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and protocols in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor laws and regulations
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and maintain detailed HSE documentation, records, and reports for regulatory compliance and organizational review
- Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to all site personnel
- Supervise and monitor contractor and employee compliance with established safety standards and procedures
- Conduct hazard assessments and risk evaluations for new projects, processes, and work activities
- Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations
- Respond promptly to safety emergencies and ensure appropriate emergency response procedures are followed
- Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement preventive measures
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment on-site
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving HSE regulations, standards, and best practices in the industry
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HSE Engineer or similar role with demonstrated site supervision responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian occupational health and safety regulations and labor laws
- Strong expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation methodologies
- Proficiency in HSE documentation, record-keeping, and regulatory reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive decisions in safety-critical situations
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver safety training and awareness programs
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management
- Familiarity with construction, industrial, or similar operational environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent international qualifications
- Experience with ISO 45001 or other recognized HSE management system standards
- Proficiency with HSE management software and digital documentation systems
- Background in conducting safety audits and compliance assessments
- Experience in mentoring and developing HSE competencies in team members
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices
- Previous experience working on large-scale projects or in high-risk operational settings
