Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures in accordance with UAE regulations and international best practices
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE standards and identify potential hazards
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs to all staff and subcontractors
- Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate HSE requirements into all phases of construction projects
- Prepare HSE reports and maintain accurate records for management review and regulatory compliance
- Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging employees and encouraging reporting of unsafe conditions or behaviors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years experience in HSE management within the construction industry, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region
- Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations and international standards such as ISO 45001 and OHSAS 18001
- Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence teams and promote safety culture
- Certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent is highly preferred
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and implement effective corrective measures
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
