Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Officer in conducting daily site inspections and safety walks
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near miss incidents to the HSE Officer
- Maintain HSE records, registers, and documentation
- Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports
- Assist in organizing and conducting toolbox talks for site workers
- Support HSE induction programmes for new employees and contractors
- Assist in investigating near miss incidents and minor accidents
- Support compliance audits and internal HSE inspections
- Assist in risk assessment activities and job hazard analysis (JHA) preparation
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- NEBOSH IGC (or currently pursuing) preferred
- IOSH Working Safely / Managing Safely preferred
- First Aid certification is an advantage

Role Overview
- We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented HSE Assistant to support the Health, Safety, and Environment function on site and within the organisation. This is an entry level role ideal for a fresh graduate or junior professional looking to build a career in HSE.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the HSE Officer in conducting daily site inspections and safety walks
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures
- Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near miss incidents to the HSE Officer immediately
- Support in maintaining site safety signage, barriers, and PPE availability
- Assist in maintaining HSE records, registers, and documentation
- Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports
- Help maintain the incident log, inspection checklists, and corrective action trackers
- File and organise HSE documentation in compliance with company standards
- Assist in organising and conducting toolbox talks for site workers
- Support HSE induction programmes for new employees and contractors
- Help distribute safety awareness materials and communications across the site
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating HSE training sessions
Incident Support
- Assist in investigating near miss incidents and minor accidents
- Support preparation of incident reports and corrective/preventive action plans
- Follow up on close out of corrective actions with relevant departments
Compliance & Inspections
- Support compliance audits and internal HSE inspections
- Assist in risk assessment activities and job hazard analysis (JHA) preparation
- Help ensure PPE compliance is maintained across all site personnel
- Support emergency drill preparation and participation
General Support
- Coordinate with site teams, contractors, and subcontractors on HSE matters
- Assist the HSE team with any ad hoc duties as assigned
- Support environmental monitoring activities where required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
