Responsibilities
- Assist the Project or Program Manager in implementing and maintaining Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) programs across project sites
- Support the administration and execution of site specific SH&E plans to ensure compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct audits of projects and worksites to verify compliance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures
- Perform regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and provide recommendations to eliminate or control safety, health, and environmental risks
- Prepare and submit inspection reports, audit reports, and corrective action recommendations
- Monitor project planning and work execution to ensure activities comply with Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP) requirements
- Support the implementation of occupational injury, incident reporting, and incident management processes
- Analyze inspection findings, audit results, and incident trends, and prepare reports to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with new employee safety orientations and onboarding activities
- Deliver SH&E training programs and promote industry best practices across project teams
- Participate in routine safety briefings, toolbox talks, and workforce awareness programs
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE/SH&E) roles
- Working knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations and reporting requirements
- Knowledge of recognized safety standards and industry best practices, including ANSI, NFPA, and related standards
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Experience delivering safety training and awareness programs
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical corrective and preventive actions
