HR & Payroll Manager

Serve as the company’s Safety Program Coordinator, overseeing workplace safety and OSHA compliance across all company locations.

Facilitate safety committee meetings every other month, coordinate workplace inspections and OSHA visits, maintain Safety Data Sheets and required safety records, and manage workplace injury and near-miss investigations.

Coordinate employee safety training, monitor corrective actions, and maintain written safety and emergency-response programs.

Partner with department managers, employees, insurance representatives, Ohio BWC, and qualified outside professionals to identify hazards, address safety concerns, and promote safe working conditions throughout the company.

Prepare and process employee termination paperwork and related documentation.

Prepare, review, and distribute reports, forms, correspondence, and other business documents.

Assist with reimbursement requests, expense vouchers, office supply coordination, and other basic administrative or financial records as needed.

Maintain a professional, organized, and welcoming office environment.

Perform additional administrative and HR duties as needed.

Requirements of this position include:

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including hands-on payroll processing experience; required.

Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, and employment compliance.

Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience with Payroll Partners or a similar payroll/HRIS system preferred.

Knowledge of workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, safety documentation, and employee safety training preferred.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, managers, and leadership.

Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the day-to-day HR function.
