An opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist based in our Darwin Office, located at the Darwin Internaional Airport. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Airnorth’s recruitment, retention, and onboarding strategy. Conduct recruitment and onboarding functions. Provide advice, service and support to best align candidates’ capabilities with a positive recruitment and onboarding experience. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term role to provide maternity leave coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment -
Partner with management to manage the full recruitment cycle from agreeing the brief with managers, placing adverts, candidate screening and administration, reference and background checks, salary, and contract negotiations.
Proactively headhunt with the ability to identify key strategic recruitment activities to achieve business outcomes.
Build relationships and coach managers on recruitment principles and compliance requirements.
Ensure all candidates have the right skills, experience, and attitude.
Provide timely reports to hiring managers regarding status relating to all positions.
Ability to work cross-functionally, perform under tight deadlines, problem-solve, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Undertake recruitment-related administrative tasks.
Liaising with other departments on matters relating to candidates.
Execute an effective student work experience program, fostering talent pipeline development.
Onboarding -
Partner with management to implement an effective onboarding experience for all new hires, working with hiring managers to ensure they receive support.
Coordinate onboarding and induction activities.
Follow up with new hires post-start and analyse survey data.
Retention-
Implement retention strategy in conjunction with GMCS.
Gather retention data by conducting and analysing exit interviews.
Build employee networks to drive engagement.
Participate in projects directed by GMCS.
Payroll -
Provide assistance to the Payroll and HR Advisor in administering payroll.
