Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards across all the facilities, including cinema auditoriums, public areas, washrooms, staff facilities, offices, and guest-facing spaces.
The role ensures that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Housekeeping Operations
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping team.
- Ensure all cinema auditoriums, common areas, washrooms, offices, corridors, stairways, and staff facilities are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of all facilities and identify areas requiring attention or improvement.
- Ensure cleaning schedules, deep-cleaning programs, and maintenance checklists are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor cleanliness before, during, and after operating hours.
Team Management
- Assign daily duties and responsibilities to housekeeping staff.
- Monitor staff performance and productivity.
- Train team members on cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, safety practices, and proper use of equipment and chemicals.
- Assist in onboarding and coaching new housekeeping employees.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across all operational shifts.
Hygiene & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with company cleanliness standards and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in washrooms, food service areas, guest lounges, and public spaces.
- Conduct regular quality audits and take corrective action where required.
- Respond promptly to cleanliness-related guest complaints and implement solutions.
Inventory & Supplies Management
- Monitor housekeeping inventory, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and consumables.
- Maintain stock levels and submit replenishment requests as required.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained and used safely and correctly.
- Minimize waste and control housekeeping-related expenses.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure all housekeeping activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or safety concerns immediately.
- Support emergency procedures and incident reporting when required.
Coordination With Other Departments
- Work closely with Operations, Cinema Management, Maintenance, Food & Beverage, and Guest Relations teams to ensure all guest areas remain presentable and operational.
- Coordinate cleaning activities around movie schedules, events, VIP screenings, and special functions.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–4 years of housekeeping supervisory experience, preferably within hospitality, entertainment, cinema, retail, or leisure environments.
- Experience managing cleaning teams and schedules.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
