Job Description

  • As a Housekeeping Linen Porter, you play a key behind the scenes role in ensuring our guests enjoy fresh, high quality linen throughout their stay.
  • You are responsible for receiving, sorting, and distributing linen across the property, ensuring proper stock levels, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the linen room.
  • This vital position supports both the guest experience and the smooth operation of the housekeeping department.
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work well with both internal teams and external laundry vendors.

What will I be doing?

  • Receive linen deliveries from the external laundry vendor and verify quantity and quality against delivery notes.
  • Ensure all linen received is clean, in good condition, and meets brand standards before distribution.
  • Sort, store, and distribute linen to housekeeping team members and linen closets as required.
  • Always maintain a clean and organized linen room and storage areas.
  • Track daily usage and report any linen shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor.
  • Handle and report damaged or stained linen, ensuring it is returned for replacement or disposal.
  • Support the housekeeping team by collecting soiled linen from room attendants and preparing it for collection by the vendor.
  • Follow all hygiene and safety standards in handling and storing linen.
  • Maintain records of linen usage, stock levels, and inventory counts as needed.
  • Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or concerns regarding linen quality or supply.

Requirements

  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy loads.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual with good organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and linen handling best practices.
  • Previous housekeeping or hotel laundry experience is preferred.

Experience

  • Ideally 1+ years of experience in a similar housekeeping or linen handling role within the hotel industry.
