Position Overview

  • A Hostess plays a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience within restaurants, hotels, lounges, and luxury hospitality venues.
  • Responsible for welcoming guests, managing reservations, coordinating seating, and ensuring smooth front of house operations.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, a warm personality, and the ability to maintain a professional, polished presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception — Greet guests warmly upon arrival, provide a positive first impression, and escort them to their tables or designated areas.
  • Reservation Management — Handle bookings, maintain reservation systems, and manage waiting lists efficiently.
  • Seating Coordination — Assign tables based on guest preferences, operational flow, and server availability.
  • Customer Service — Address guest inquiries, provide menu or venue information, and ensure guests feel attended to throughout their visit.
  • Communication with Staff — Coordinate with waitstaff, management, and kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
  • Venue Presentation — Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entrance, reception desk, and guest waiting areas.
  • Complaint Handling — Manage guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when needed.
  • Upselling & Promotion — Promote special events, menu highlights, or offers when appropriate.
  • Compliance & Safety — Follow all venue policies, health guidelines, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is an advantage.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in hospitality, customer service, or front of house roles.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; professional appearance and positive attitude; ability to multitask in fast paced environments; basic computer skills and familiarity with reservation systems.
  • Personal Attributes: Polished grooming and presentation; friendly, confident, and service oriented; calm under pressure with strong problem solving skills.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; Arabic or other languages is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Based in hospitality venues such as restaurants, hotels, lounges, or resorts.
  • Shift based schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing for extended periods and constant interaction with guests.
  • Fast paced environment requiring high energy and attentiveness.
  • Uniform and grooming standards must be maintained at all times.

Compensation

  • Pay: AED 8,000.00 AED 10,000.00 per month
