Requirements
- Experience providing core subject (math, English, Science) support to secondary aged students (Years 7 11)
- Experience supporting neurodiverse students, including planning and delivering small group and 1:1 sessions
- Previous relevant experience as a Learning Support Assistant or Secondary Teacher
- Experience working within the British curriculum across secondary to GCSE/IGCSE level
- Relevant qualifications
- Good rapport with young people
- Strong English skills – spoken and written

About The Role
- The Higher Level Learning Support Assistant (HLTA) leads the delivery of targeted interventions for students with SEND, while managing the operational and administrative systems that underpin the school's inclusion provision.
- This role combines direct student support with strategic coordination—planning intervention timetables, administering access arrangements, and ensuring seamless exam logistics.
- The HLTA champions an inclusive culture, promotes pupil independence, and works collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure all learners make outstanding progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience of providing core subject (math, English, Science) support to secondary aged students (Years 7 – 11).
- Experience of supporting neurodiverse students; including planning and delivering small group and 1:1 support sessions.
- Previous and relevant experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant or Secondary Teacher.
- Previous experience of working within the British curriculum across secondary to GCSE/IGCSE level.
- Relevant qualifications.
- A good rapport with young people.
- A genuine passion for education.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- A friendly and professional manner.
- Strong English skills – spoken and written.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver one to one and small group teaching sessions for secondary aged students.
- Work alongside other stakeholders to enhance student participation.
- Support students, teachers and parents to develop personalised educational plans (PEPs) and develop provision according to student's specific needs.
- Work alongside the Secondary Head of Inclusion and a dynamic Personalised Learning Team.
