Role overview
Provide part-time remote helpdesk support to internal team members and external users.
Support covers technical inquiries, service requests, desktop computers, applications, connectivity, and user access.
Responsibilities
- Respond to technical inquiries and service requests.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user access issues.
- Escalate complex cases to senior technical staff when necessary.
- Document tickets, solutions, and recurring issues.
- Contribute to knowledge base articles to improve self-service and response times.
- Collaborate with IT and operations colleagues to maintain service quality.
- Follow service level expectations and improve support processes.
Qualifications
- Strong technical support and help desk support skills.
- Solid troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Experience with desktop computers and common operating systems.
- Effective customer support skills, including clear communication and empathy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage part-time hours.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is beneficial.
- Basic IT security knowledge covering user access and data protection is advantageous.
- Relevant coursework, certifications, or practical IT support experience is preferred.
