Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain smooth operations within Abu Dhabi Healthcare System under UMOC
- Ensure hospital preparedness for major incidents and maintain surge plans
- Generate periodic reports on hospital status and special pathway patients (SPP)
- Coordinate and liaise with healthcare facilities' emergency management programs
- Monitor healthcare facility resources for emergency preparedness
- Activate and notify relevant facilities and services during emergencies
- Provide real time surge capacity information
- Compile periodic reports on SPP cases
- Document information into Estijabah system in real time

Role Overview
- The primary role of the Healthcare Liaison Officers (HLOs) is to establish and maintain smooth operations within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Healthcare System within the Unified Medical Operations Command (UMOC).
- The HLO will play a crucial role in ensuring hospital preparedness for all major incidents and that surge plans are current.
- The HLO will generate periodic reports and be the link between HLO healthcare group and other stakeholders including UMOC team.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to HR standards and arrive to work on time.
- Answer all incoming calls professionally within specified timeframe.
- Update and maintain contact details for Health Care Facilities (HCFs).
- Coordinate and liaise with HCF's Emergency Management Programs.
- Communicate with UMOC teams during normal and emergency situations.
- Monitor respective health care facility resources for emergency preparedness.
- Obtain and maintain up to date information on critical resources.
- Engage in communication with hospital experts for specialized advice.
- Activate and notify relevant healthcare facilities and emergency services as directed.
- Provide real time surge capacity information.
- Work closely with UMOC team on emergency and disaster situations.
- Verify availability of HCF Special Pathway Program (SPP).
Qualifications
- UAE National (UAEN) required.
- Experience in healthcare liaison or emergency management.
- Ability to work shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness and response procedures.
