About the Role

Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain employee safety by ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to
- Provide continual health and safety training and awareness within all employees
- Undertake health and safety inspection and audits maintaining appropriate records ensuring root causes are addressed
- Participate actively in all safety related events/campaigns
- Investigate HSE injuries and incidents to ascertain the root cause and ensure corrective actions
- Develop and implement safety campaigns and initiatives
- Ensure all regulatory notifications and updates are maintained to ensure company compliance
- Maintain sound knowledge of current legislation governing all HSE elements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, Engineering or relevant fields is preferred
- 5 years of experience in a high risk environment practicing within the field of Occupational, Health, Safety & Environment
- Minimum NEBOSH certificate in Occupational, Health & Safety Management
- Knowledge of NFPA certification, ADOSH SF regulation
- Relevant Audit certification in OSH MS (e.g., ISO 45001:2018) is preferable

Synopsis
- To maintain a safe and healthy working environment in the organization as well as review and facilitate continuous improvement of health and safety management of the organizational facilities and processes.
Accountability

Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, Engineering or relevant fields is preferred.
