Responsibilities
- Assist Fabricator for Preventive Maintenance / Repair / Modification Jobs
- Follow up and perform daily routine tasks for access stands & docking and Hangar Support Assistance
- Responsible for adherence to Health Safety and Environment and ordinary care of tooling/ground support equipment
- Shape materials: cutting, bending, welding, and forming grade metals and aluminum
- Maintain a FOD free working area and housekeeping of the bay area
- Perform assembly & riveting: drilling, countersinking, and high precision riveting
- Custom fabrication: manufacture custom brackets, structural fittings, bulkheads, etc.
- Operate machinery: hydraulic presses, shears, brake presses, band saws, drill presses, etc.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a 5S compliant workspace
Requirements
- 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, repair and fabrication of access docking
- Ability to work as a team with maintenance teams under supervision

Job Description
- Join Etihad Engineering as a GSE Fabricator where you will be responsible for the fabrication of the Aircraft Docking System, carrying out daily maintenance activity and routine tasks, and supporting Docking Installation and Hangar Support Tasks.
- This is a role for someone who takes pride in a clean bay, a well loaded tool, and a job done to spec — where craftsmanship meets safety at every step.
Responsibilities
- Assist Fabricator for Preventive Maintenance / Repair / Modification Jobs / and report any findings related to access docking and stands.
- Follow up and perform the daily routine Tasks for access stands & docking and Hangar Support Assistance for Docking Installation whenever required.
- Responsible for adherence to Health Safety and Environment and ordinary care of tooling/ground support equipment and directs attention to perform proof loading of tools without accidents.
- Shaping Materials: Cutting, bending, welding, and forming grade metals and aluminum.
- Maintains a FOD free working area, housekeeping of the bay area before and after work.
- Assembly & Riveting: Drilling, countersinking, and high precision riveting to assemble parts like wings, fuselages, and control surfaces.
- Custom Fabrication: Manufacture custom brackets, structural fittings, bulkheads, formers, stringers, ribs, and system mounting hardware to support flight test operations or retrofits.
- Operate Machinery: Setup and operate specialized fabrication machinery including hydraulic presses, shears, brake presses, band saws, drill presses, and sometimes manual or CNC milling machines/lathes.
- Safety First: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a 5S compliant (clean and organized) workspace to avoid Foreign Object Debris (FOD) hazards.
Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance, repair and fabrication of access docking.
- Ability to work as a team with maintenance teams under supervision.
