Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high quality, engaging Mathematics teaching in line with the British Curriculum, with the ability to teach and oversee provision up to GCSE and A Level
- Lead, manage, coach and support members of the Mathematics department, promoting high standards of teaching, learning and professional conduct
- Drive curriculum planning, sequencing and development across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring coherence, progression and alignment with examination requirements
- Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, track and improve student progress and attainment across all key stages
- Use data effectively to evaluate performance, inform interventions and drive continuous departmental improvement
- Support the academic and pastoral wellbeing of students, embedding the school’s values, routines and high expectations across the department
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating clearly about curriculum intent, student progress and next steps
- Contribute actively to school improvement initiatives, professional development and wider whole school life
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE / QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification)
- Experience teaching the English National Curriculum, preferably in an international setting
- Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student wellbeing
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
- Fluent English speaker

Job Overview
- Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Mathematics to join our dynamic, high performing team from August 2026.
- As Head of Mathematics in an international British curriculum school, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving high quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level Mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high quality, engaging Mathematics teaching in line with the British Curriculum, with the ability to teach and oversee provision up to GCSE and A Level.
- Model and promote strong analytical thinking, problem solving and numeracy skills, ensuring teaching across the department is innovative, challenging and effective.
- Use a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, track and improve student progress and attainment across all key stages.
- Drive curriculum planning, sequencing and development across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring coherence, progression and alignment with examination requirements.

Qualifications And Experience
- Be a fluent English speaker
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject with PGCE / QTS (or equivalent teaching qualification).
