Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Financial Institutions Department, including Correspondent Banking and the International Client Desk.
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with the Chief International Banking Officer (CIBO).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international banks, financial institutions, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Drive business growth through correspondent banking, trade finance, treasury lines, and funding initiatives.
- Oversee correspondent banking relationships, including the establishment and management of Nostro and Vostro accounts.
- Expand and strengthen the Bank's network of international financial institution relationships to support business growth and funding objectives.
- Monitor market developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, audit, and regulatory requirements across all activities.
- Collaborate with business, credit, treasury, and risk management teams to optimize client solutions and maximize cross selling opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing team while ensuring achievement of departmental objectives and revenue targets.
- Prepare and present management reports, MIS, business performance updates, and strategic recommendations.
- Represent the Bank at industry events, conferences, and meetings with domestic and international financial institutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Banking, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 15–20 years of banking experience, including senior leadership roles in Financial Institutions, Correspondent Banking, Syndications, International Banking, or Structured Finance.
- Strong knowledge of syndicated lending, correspondent banking, international funding structures, and global banking practices.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with international financial institutions and correspondent banks.
- Expertise in credit analysis, financial statement assessment, risk management, KYC/AML, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong business development, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
