Role Objective

  • The incumbent will work closely with the CDIO in leading Doha Bank’s Digital Solutions and Technology department including Business Solutions, Enterprise Digital Architecture, Digital Technology and Applications Testing.
  • Lead collaboration with stakeholders to identify technology opportunities and design customer centric digital solutions.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute towards formulation/implementation of overall DS&IT strategy and align Digital Solutions and Technology function.
  • Work with CDIO to define scope and goals of Digital Solutions and Technology strategy.
  • Support CDIO in development of key performance metrics for the department.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Oversee development and implementation of policies & procedures for Digital & Technology Solutions.
  • Ensure documentation of long term economical and optimized solutions for technology needs.
  • Lead development of streamlined work processes and procedures.
  • Work with CDIO to optimize costs and ROI in Tech/Digital investments.
  • Oversee collaborative efforts with DS&IT and Business Units to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Direct team in establishing methodologies for Enterprise Architecture quality assessment.
  • Direct team in collaborative efforts to define data analytics requirements.
  • Oversee team in analyzing business intelligence needs and determining BI solutions.
  • Lead team in research on software and technology packages.
  • Work with DS&IT sections, business lines, and vendors to ensure digital solutions align with business strategy.
  • Oversee/direct/assess FinTech partnerships.

People Management

  • Allocate work deliverables and supervise direct reports, provide feedback and counseling.
  • Provide recommendations to CDIO on hiring and promotions.
  • Support recruitment team in screening candidates.
  • Support employees in setting career goals.

Qualification and Experience Required

  • University graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree in Management/Technology is an added advantage.
  • 15 20 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry.
  • Proven experience in program management within emerging digital landscapes.
  • Experience in developing digital business solutions.
  • Significant experience in establishing EA best practices and technology transformation.

Certifications

  • Professional certification such as PMP/Prince2 is preferable.
  • Industry accredited certificates in digital landscape.
