Responsibilities
- Own the intake, prioritization, and resolution of all internal engineering requests
- Define and enforce SLAs for customer facing teams
- Serve as primary engineering point of contact for L3 support team
- Own data migration process end to end: intake, scoping, execution, validation
- Design, build, and improve migration pipelines
- Write production code across backend (Python/Django, FastAPI) and frontend (Vue.js, React)
- Build and maintain internal tools (Retool, custom applications)
- Own bug triage process: intake, severity assessment, routing, lifecycle tracking
- Manage vulnerability report intake and triage
- Work closely with Director of Engineering to protect squad focus
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands on software engineering experience with leadership ability
- Strong proficiency in Python (Django and/or FastAPI)
- Experience with frontend development (Vue.js or React)
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting across the stack
- Experience building or improving operational processes (bug triage, internal tooling, SLAs)
- Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers or customer facing teams on technical matters
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- People management experience
- Excellent communication skills in English

Role Overview
- The Head of Engineering Operations will own engineering work outside product feature development, including internal requests, data migrations, bug triage, and customer facing technical work.
- This is a deeply technical, hands on leadership position reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Engineering Requests & Customer Facing Support
- Own intake, prioritization, and resolution of all internal engineering requests.
- Define and enforce SLAs for customer facing teams.
- Serve as primary engineering point of contact for L3 support team.
Data Migrations
- Own data migration process end to end: intake, scoping, execution, validation.
- Design, build, and improve migration pipelines to reduce turnaround times.
- Troubleshoot and debug migration failures across full stack.
Software Development & Tooling
- Write production code across backend (Python/Django, FastAPI) and frontend (Vue.js, React).
- Build and maintain internal tools (Retool, custom applications).
- Maintain and update API endpoints and Open API documentation.
- Identify and systematically eliminate repetitive manual work through automation.
Bug Intake, Routing & Lifecycle
- Own bug triage process: intake, severity assessment, routing, lifecycle tracking.
- Define and maintain bug SLAs and implement automated reporting.
- Manage vulnerability report intake and triage.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Director of Engineering to protect squad focus.
- Partner with Customer Support, Sales, and L3 to identify pain points.
- Exercise strong judgment on escalation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands on software engineering experience with leadership ability.
- Strong proficiency in Python (Django and/or FastAPI).
- Experience with frontend development (Vue.js or React).
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and troubleshooting across the stack.
- Experience building or improving operational processes.

- Background in building self service tooling for non technical teams (Retool or similar).
- Familiarity with API documentation standards (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Familiarity with AI assisted workflows for operational automation.
- Experience with recruitment technology or HR tech.
