About the Role
REACH Group is seeking a Head of DevOps for a yearly renewable contract in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong DevOps leadership experience, deep knowledge of CI/CD, IaC, DevSecOps, and cloud platforms, and the ability to build and lead DevOps engineering teams.

Responsibilities
- Build, develop and deploy DevOps engineers into cross functional product and platform teams
- Establish secure, scalable CI/CD and GitOps pipelines across the full SDLC
- Implement infrastructure/config/policy as code, immutable infrastructure, and self service enablement
- Embed DevSecOps practices including security scanning, secrets management, and supply chain controls
- Drive adoption of DevOps standards across multiple delivery teams
Requirements
- Strong DevOps, platform engineering or cloud engineering leadership experience, including building teams and setting standards
- Deep practical knowledge of infrastructure as code, configuration management, immutable infrastructure, GitOps, CI/CD, release engineering, automated testing, and environment automation
- Strong understanding of DevOps tooling across Git platforms, CI/CD engines, artifact repositories, container registries, orchestration platforms, IaC tools, observability platforms, and security automation
- Experience with cloud platforms, container platforms and cloud native operating models, including Azure, AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, virtualization and hybrid or sovereign cloud environments
- Proven ability to embed DevSecOps practices, including pipeline security, policy as code, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, supply chain controls, and secure configuration standards
- Experience designing self service engineering capabilities, reusable templates, paved roads, developer enablement materials, and automation patterns
- Strong engineering mindset with ability to define coding, scripting, automation, review, testing, documentation, and operational standards for DevOps engineers
- Strong knowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, incident response, SRE practices and continuous improvement of reliability and recovery
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Preferred background in government, regulated environments, enterprise platforms, critical digital services, cloud transformation, or large scale engineering modernization programs

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong DevOps, platform engineering or cloud engineering leadership experience, including building teams, setting standards, coaching engineers, and driving adoption across multiple delivery teams
- Deep practical knowledge of infrastructure as code, configuration management, immutable infrastructure, GitOps, CI/CD, release engineering, automated testing, and environment automation
- Strong understanding of DevOps tooling across Git platforms, CI/CD engines, artifact repositories, container registries, orchestration platforms, IaC tools, observability platforms, and security automation
- Experience with cloud platforms, container platforms and cloud native operating models, including Azure, AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, virtualization and hybrid or sovereign cloud environments
- Proven ability to embed DevSecOps practices, including pipeline security, policy as code, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, supply chain controls, and secure configuration standards
