What You Will Own

• Own data platform architecture and delivery.
• Own machine learning and AI system design from training through production operation.
• Own real-time data ingestion and processing across heterogeneous hardware and markets.
• Make foundational decisions about technology stack, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Own production reliability for every system and model shipped.
• Own AI product scope and packaging.
• Manage technical relationships with strategically important operator accounts.
• Set data strategy and the technology roadmap.
• Work with the CPO to define possible use cases.

Non-Negotiable Experience

• Build a data or AI platform from 0 to 1 at a B2B SaaS or industrial technology company.
• Ship AI systems that execute decisions or actions in production.
• Lead a data or AI team across engineering and science disciplines.
• Combine technical depth with commercial awareness and communicate credibly with senior operators.
• Operate effectively under ambiguity and turn unclear situations into actionable direction.

Strong Signals

• EV, energy, smart grid, or industrial IoT background, or a track record of rapidly acquiring deep domain knowledge.
• Production experience with agentic or autonomous AI, including cost optimization and efficiency.
• Experience with OCPP, MQTT, equivalent industrial or IoT protocols, or high-frequency hardware event streams at scale.
• Production-scale Snowflake experience with schema design, real-time ingestion, ML integration, and cost governance.
• Experience calibrating confidence and designing thresholds for AI systems that operate without approval on every decision.
• Comfort leading across time zones while partnering with global commercial and customer success leadership.
